# Idea

GraphQL object

An early-stage idea that may later be converted into a disclosure.

## Fields

- `advantages` — The advantages over existing solutions.
- `archivedAt` — The date the idea was archived. Returns null if the idea is active.
- `archivedByUser` — The user who archived the idea.
- `barriersToCommercialization` — The known obstacles to bringing the technology to market.
- `commercialApplications` — The potential commercial applications of the technology.
- `convertedAt` — The date the idea was converted into a disclosure.
- `convertedByUser` — The user who converted the idea.
- `createdAt` — The idea's creation date.
- `createdByUser` — The user who created the idea.
- `createdByUserId` — The unique identifier of the user who created the idea.
- `description` — The idea's description.
- `detectability` — How easily infringement could be detected.
- `disclosures` — The disclosures created from the idea.
- `firstConceptionOn` — The date the invention was first conceived.
- `fundingSourceNotes` — Notes about the funding behind the work.
- `id` — The idea's unique identifier.
- `ideaContacts` — The contacts on the idea.
- `ideaNumber` — The idea's number, assigned by the account.
- `keptAsIdeaAt` — The date the idea was reviewed and kept as an idea.
- `matterDocumentsCount` — The number of documents attached to the idea.
- `novelConcepts` — What is new about the invention.
- `problemStatement` — The problem the invention addresses.
- `sourceEnum` — How the idea was created, such as manually or by import.
