# Department

GraphQL object

An organizational unit of the account, such as a college or lab. Departments form a tree.

## Fields

- `ancestors` — The department's ancestors, from the root down.
- `children` — The department's direct children.
- `contactsCount` — The number of contacts in the department.
- `createdAt` — The department's creation date.
- `createdByUser` — The user who created the department.
- `createdByUserId` — The unique identifier of the user who created the department.
- `disclosureSearchCount` — The number of disclosures matching the department in search, including descendants.
- `disclosuresCount` — The number of disclosures linked to the department.
- `filingsCount` — The number of filings linked to the department.
- `id` — The department's unique identifier.
- `ideasCount` — The number of ideas linked to the department.
- `logoUrl` — The URL of the department's logo.
- `matterDocumentsCount` — The number of documents attached to the department.
- `name` — The department's name.
- `updatedAt` — The date the department was last updated.
- `updatedByUser` — The user who last updated the department.
- `updatedByUserId` — The unique identifier of the user who last updated the department.
